Knightly could hardly (after acting the big brother,even mentor role for so long) suddenly play the lovesick fool. I think he did do little things in his own way--like show attention to Jane,and even leave for London. Darcy was doing a good for his sister by trying to avoid scandel. (I know - and his pride but I forgive him) Ann it's true sat back and waited but she had a plan for herself that was to live if needs be with Lady R. She also thought Elizabeth marrying would mitigate the circumstance. No No, I can not like Fanny.(but you may do as you wish) :-)
