So if the did, she could go home to her mother and father who needed her more. Her life wasn't any better being away from them because she felt she didn't deserve it to be any better. Why stay were you are treated badly. She would have the respect that she deserved from her sibilings and her mother because she is a good person,but a afraid of her own shadow.
] With her non-intervention, the same could be said for Knightley with Emma and Frank, Anne with Sir Walter and Mrs. Clay, Darcy with Lizzy and Wickham.
] Like Kathleen said, Fanny only suspected that Maria was marrying for the wrong reasons and prefered Henry--she did not know that there would be problems.
