] Listen, My husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas. What I really want is a copy of P&P. Not a cheap paperback one, that will fall to bits in two readings, but a properly bound, maybe leather covered, one that falls open at a certain page and stays there, will survive if I fall asleep over it in bed,and , ideally, has some commentary by some learned person at the back. Does such a thing exist, any more?

Last Christmas I gave my wife a hardback edition of P&P published after the TV Production. It has many colour plates in it of all the principal characters and many of the important scenes. The only complaint with the book is that it was not very well proof read so that there are rather a lot of typos.

I can let you have ISBN number if you want. I don't have it with me at the moment.
