Maybe, but I've got a simpler theory:
The Bennets had two shildren, a boy and a girl. the boy was Mr. Bennet's father and the girl married a Collins, Mr. Collins' father. Mr Bennet had only five daughters, so the inheritance goes to his cousin.
Does this make any sense?
