Perfect beginning, isn't it?

] That once you start this book you cannot put it down. From Mrs Bennet telling her husband about the new tenants to Elizabeth being only Tolerable.
And don't you think that the opening line really is perfect? It sets a sort of playful tone, because we recognize Miss Austen has her tongue in cheek when she writes this. But even though it is playful, the line also lets you know exactly what this novel is all about -- getting married.
I've always liked this opening, haven't you?
