I did not quite understand the tenor of your last question. I thought the purpose of this forum was to provide free discussion of topics drawn from the novels of Jane Austen. The other adaptation topic threads seem devoted to specific novels and I supposed that this one was the place to discuss Mansfield Park, because one of the postings was labelled Parking Mansfield here, seeing if anyone salutes. It did not appear to me that the entire thread was devoted to any one topic and that people were free to choose which items to respond to. Is this not the case? That is, did my one or two posts about Fanny Price somehow flood or 'spam' the mailboxes of everyone on the list? If so, I deeply apologize, it was quite inadvertent. I would appreciate instruction in how to avoid such a mishap in future. I have a great interest in discussing Mansfield Park, and I only want to do so with those persons who are as interested as I am. I have no intention whatsoever in taking up the bandwidth of persons who do not share my enthusiasm for the novel.
Most sincerely,
G.Kay Bishop
