Time and Around

The idea of time wrapping round itself has become a popular theme for novels and drama during that last decade or so. Are we becoming more enamoured of the collective we call history or have we gotten to the point where we feel we have left too many items of importance in the past and it is now time to reclaim them? Is it possbile to reclaim the good of teh past without bringing along much of the past's hardships? Do we sincerely want Ash's life, or just a semblence of it?
