] Just to keep an old controversy alive...
] I was reading a book the other day (I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith of 101 Dalmatians fame - and heartily recommended it) - where one of the characters posed the question, "Would you rather have Jane with a touch of Charlotte, or Charlotte with a touch of Jane" (Austen and Bronte, rather than Bennet and Lucas, which is an entirely different kettle of fish)
] What would be your preferred combination?
I would like to keep Charlotte's passion and sense of melodrama and then throw in some of JA's humor. I love CB; but I think JA has an amazing way of writing, she uses satire and irony like no other author.
