] Kelly Elizabeth: I think that you're probably refering to my comment that Scarlett was silly and naive. I really don't have anything against her. In fact I like Gone With the Wind and I thought that Scarlett was not a bad sequel really. I just think that compared to some of Jane Austen's characters she appears silly and naive......although her character does change as time and books progress. It's just a personal opinion! Infact I'm quite fascinated with the American Civil war period - being British we don't learn about it in school so until I started reading American literature it was a bit of a mystery to me! Sorry if I offended!!

i wasn't offended, really!!!! i just love scarlett almost as much as i love lizzy and i thought that a group read might be fun, but i thought that some people might not like her and i wouldn't want to do a group read on a book that nobody at pemberley likes!!! that wouldn't be fair to my fellow pemberlians!
