Leonora and Fergus

Where does Fergus go during all of the fermament he causes? The last we hear of him is when he speaks to Cropper. We ae never told if he got a new job, takes a holiday or what.

] I think Fergus went to a conference in a lovely hotel near the University of Outer Mongolia. We don't see him later because he decided that no visit to Mongolia would be complete without a yak ride. During this tourist attraction, the wind blows the hat from his head and his golden hair reminds his guides of the wheeler-dealer from London who showed up ten years before and never paid tehm for the breeding pair of yaks he wanted for his private zoo. Despite his protestations, they hold Fergus hostage until 'Daddy' comes up with the cash.
THats funny, Cassia! And here I was just assuming that Cropper sized Fergus up as being just as devious and unethical as he was, and offered him a job back at his institute, where Fergus promptly out-did him at his own job.
But do you think we are overlooking the obvious? Maybe Fergus and Leonora take one look at each other, proposition each other at the same instant, and retire rapidly to bed. The following morning no trace is found of either, Fergus having devoured her, in the very act of her having smothered him?
