Most of all, he saw her waist, just where it narrowed, before the skirts spread. He remembered her nakedness as he knew it, and his hands aroung the narrowing.
No one seems to speak of the waist as an area of romantic possibilty anymore. I realise part of it is a tendancy to where oversized, form diguising clothing. And men have worn their trousers below their natural waitlines, (causing their shirts to puff over their waists) since the mid-Sixties. The waistline is no longer on view. The narrowing at the mid-section, the most human of our body parts is a secret area, the definition of our torso is gone in flurry of abs of steel and silicon balloon boobies. Has teh grace of the thing been lost and gone forever?
