B and C relationship

I definitely feel that Randolph was thinking of a physical relationship between B and C when he considered her "informed desire." However, his own sexual experience may have been limited, and he certainly has no reference point with Ellen. So even if Christabel's behavior was just natural and responsive, it would seem forward to him.
In any case, I do believe that, whatever the physical relationship, Blanche was in love with Christabel. How entwined that love was with her own desperate need to find security and avoid the hell of governessing is hard to say.
