OK, let's say that Ash never showed up in Richmond and her observations are only based on what she sees of Christabel's behavior whenever she receives a letter. Until Blanche starts stealing correspondence, she doesn't know what's in them. How do you explain the dog barking?
Rather than characterize him as a stalker, why couldn't RHA kind of hang around in the park hoping to catch a glimpse of her? Definitely more romantic and less psychotic a picture?
