] Another question I have is could there be any significance to assigning everything in Mauds apartment green? I noticed that everything was a shade of green from lime, to forest, to royal, and sea green. The only meaning that I can get from the color green is jealously, wealth, or selfishness. Could any of those fit Maud?

This morning, as I was taking a shower, looking at my green towel, another thought took over my mind. Remember the green light of the Great Gatsby?? Besides, all those things that you mention (especially, wealth and jealousy), Nora, the green also stands for hope--if I recall correctly.

Maud certainly could represent hope for Roland. He will rediscover love and himself through her intervention. Maud is the catalyst for his changes...or maybe the green is just nold on my brain!!
