Possession

A Film By Cassia

Starring

James Frain...................Roland Michell

I know, I know, I once considered Rufus Sewell (than again I consider him for just about everything) for Roland but he is too tall. Mr Frain is the right height, right age, and if you recall his performance in Prime Suspect 3 you'll know his capable of generating a great deal of pathos and desperation. I want that for Roland.

Jeremy Irons....................Randolf Henry Ash

I've watched Brideshead Revisted over teh last month and one of the things I really likes about Jeremy's Irons performance in the film was the last scene when Charles is coming out of the chapel at Brideshead and the incompatent Lt. tells him he looks happier that day. Ash needs to incapsulate that rebirth of hope. That's what his meeting with Christabel is all about. JI can do this well if one could ever drag him away from him arch perverts as of late. (Same thing goes for Michael Douglas!)

I want the actor who playes St. John Rivers on JE to be Fergus Wolfe. I've always pictured Fergus as a sort of Richard-Branson-if-he-hadn't-gone-into-business type and Rupert Penry-Jones has the perfect look.

I'm not sure about the actresses yet. I acan't find a Maud. It's so difficult to find a very tall, very blonde, very intelligent actor and Maud must be all three. Dr Nest could be Geraldine McEwan but we'd have to lose the bust which means Beatrice looses part of her raison d'etre. I can't make up my mind at the moment but will post more when I do.
