] ] Another question I have is could there be any significance to assigning everything in Mauds apartment green? I noticed that everything was a shade of green from lime, to forest, to royal, and sea green. The only meaning that I can get from the color green is jealously, wealth, or selfishness. Could any of those fit Maud?

Green could also be considered a "cool" color. Tennyson's green is "emerald"; that's a pretty cool stone and rare for that matter. Then there are the images of growth, rebirth and renewal. Entering Maud's world of green, Roland could experience a rejuvenation or rebirth. Could it be spring?
It's also a positive image, evoking a beautiful landscape.
