I simply love the description in chapter five that goes:

'Roland, who was urban, noted colours: dark green ploughed earth, white chalk in the furrows, a pewter sky, with chalk-white clouds."

Another question I have is could there be any significance to assigning everything in Mauds apartment green? I noticed that everything was a shade of green from lime, to forest, to royal, and sea green. The only meaning that I can get from the color green is jealously, wealth, or selfishness. Could any of those fit Maud?
