] This is a wonderful analysis! I'm so glad to be sharing all this! I always have this feeling that so many of the allusions are passing me by, but I get so driven to find out what happens next that I leave them. This way I can revisit them, and find out a lot more that I hadn't even thought of.
] Don't you always wonder just how many of these allusions and themes are deliberate? Obviously many many are, but I think the writer must become so immersed in it that some slip in inadvertantly.
I love your ideas! I noticed all of the names and knew they had significance but never managed to put it all together. Thank you. The layers upon layers of tour de force wariting in this piece are absolutely amazing. And you Karen, have a truly Victorian mind for being able to put together the disparate pieces.
