This is a wonderful analysis! I'm so glad to be sharing all this! I always have this feeling that so many of the allusions are passing me by, but I get so driven to find out what happens next that I leave them. This way I can revisit them, and find out a lot more that I hadn't even thought of.
Don't you always wonder just how many of these allusions and themes are deliberate? Obviously many many are, but I think the writer must become so immersed in it that some slip in inadvertantly.
