] I know! Considering what a major seller this novel has been you'd think they'd do a mass market edition espeically since many colleges are now using it for course work. But they never did! Strange. I'm sure Ms Byatt didn't tell tehm not to make it available.

I'm thinking of checking at the used book stores? This carrying around of a HB as a reference for this discussion, cannot continue. I just might have to spring for the PB.
