] I see now that there is more than one copy. I know what the hardcover Random house looks like, and mine has the same picture on the cover but there is no way that a hard cover's pages will line up with a paperbacks unless it was planned that way. Oh well, it was worth a try.
I don't think Possession was ever released in mass market paperback and my trade paperback lines up perfectly. Though their may be a difference in the North American and British versions.
Isn't Vintage a Random House imprint?
