While I have no objection to an unscheduled group read, I do worry that it will syphon readers off from the scheduled ones. Also, history shows that for group reads to work they have to reach a critical mass of participants. I am already a bit doubtful that enough people will join in our Possession read, and our Lady Susan read was a bit weak as well.

Currently we are finishing the read of Jane Eyre, and then embarking on Possession. After that will be P&P. It was my original intent to alternate between Austen novels and non-Austens, but I screwed it up and put Possession ahead of P&P. Anyway, part of my point is that we will eventually get around to a regularly scheduled discussion of NA, so I would appreciate it if people would agree to wait. As we have now done 2 non-Austens in a row, if people are so inclined, we could do two Austens in a row and do NA after P&P.
