I agree. I adore Jane Austen's work, but "Jane Eyre" has to be one of my favorite novels (maybe because I was in love when I first read it?)

There is a lot to be said for both authors, and isn't it wonderful that we can enjoy them both? A little bronte when we're in he mood, or a little Austen when we need to laugh at the world. Jane Austen is so real. "Persuasion" is my favorite Austen book, because I can identify so well with many of the things Anne felt.
