We all need variety. I could not continue reading only Austen the rest of my days. The passion/emotion of Jane Eyre has been a great change.

Maybe I like Austen better, because my life is not ordered, and full of creature comforts (11 servants would be nice), and there is no true undue hardship (unless you count no plumbing). She is nice and neat. Sometimes too neat. But there are many days I wish I had left many things unsaid, and had not acted on emotion. Do I see myself in Jane Eyre? Blurting out answers without thinking? Yes, and then I wish I were more of a Jane.
:-)
