10 years since I read JE, the novel grips me in a new way. My opinion of jane's predicament, struggles has increased my opinion of her.
In much the same way but opposite, I understand the attraction Rochester commands but the same years have diminished my opinion of him.
Perhaps, my reactions to men have little to do with books and more to do with self!
