Incidently, where did that "fat" thing come in? Henry has been called "middling", and even, (falsely of caurse) "plain" (but with excellant teeth!) but fat? This is a gross exaggeration, to be sure. Dear Henry is in perfect shape!
Incidently, I must be subtle about this, but I think it is quite possible that Edmund is not as straight as an arrow as Bertramites choose to believe. Why did he think he loved Mary if he didn't? Why would he marry his sister-like cousin? He did really enjoy Mr. Rushworth's company...
(or perhaps he walks on both sides of the cobble-stone; I've always thought that he did have a crush on Mary, even if it wasn't love. He would have been better off with her.)
