Dickens and UNC

] I live in Holly Springs, So. Wake County. I know they have a Dickens fair here every December, with a Christmas Carol (the players are fairly 'famous', been to England, a Dickens decendant comes here occasionally). so there is some interest in this time period. BTW I read where UNC was doing football and Austen? I don't remember the details, did you hear about it?
I know there is an English prof here named James Thompson who has written a book on JA and is a huge Austenite, but I've not heard anything recently. I'll keep my eyes peeled.
I was not able to attend the Charles Dickens fair this past year (I just moved here), but I hope to be able to do so this coming year. Did you go?
