] Rochester [complaining on his looks, or lackthere of, in regard to St John]..."Your eyes dwell on a Vulcan - a real blacksmith, brown, broad-shouldered; and blind and lame into the bargin"
] Jane: "I never thought of it before, but you certainly are rather like Vulcan, sir"
(Love these two exchanges!! They are funny, and they show even after all that time apart, she still knows what he needs. And they mirror the famous, You examine me Miss Eyre, you think (find?) me handsome?, No sir, our heroine replies!)
I like when she makes him sing (the evening after the buying spree in town) and when she works him up into a lather by really flirting with him! It's not knock down drag out funny, but it makes me smile to imagine her throwing him one insult after another just smiling the whole time! and he is helpless to do anything about it!
