i know we're not up to discussing the last section, but the 2 of the funniest lines are in it.
Rochester: "Am I hideous, Jane?"
Jane "Very, sir, you always were you know."
there's another part too:
Rochester [complaining on his looks, or lackthere of, in regard to St John]..."Your eyes dwell on a Vulcan - a real blacksmith, brown, broad-shouldered; and blind and lame into the bargin"
Jane: "I never thought of it before, but you certainly are rather like Vulcan, sir"
