Yes! It makes me question my own capacity to be content. If I get the house and have the baby, will I be content? Now that Jane has the job, the big house to live in, a comfortable position, can she be content? Probably not - she is restless already, longing for some intellectual stimulation.
How long could she have been happy there if there had been no Mr. Rochester?
