I'm a first time reader, and I noticed that once the children got sick, Scratcherd wasn't mentioned further. Now I'm not looking for spoilers, if she is mentioned later, but I'm curious as to why. Did I miss something? I know everything was changed after the children became ill, (so much so that Jane recalls the new Lowood affectionately) so I'm guessing she was "eliminated".
