Even though I've read MP before I can't remember much EXCEPT that Auntie is just a psycho. It seems time and time again she says and does things that make no sense, and are calulated to be mean. I thought Fanny an easy target, (because she is passive and lower socially) and Auntie nothing more than a schoolyard bully. The one person that MIGHT love her (who has the capacity to love) is thrown off, even before they meet.

BTW, I'm glad I finally caught up with the chapters!! This was a tedious book for me.
