I am the one who read it and I ACTUALLY did chuck it out my front door into three feet of snow in the middle of December....Why couldn't she have married Lord Warbuton?!!!! OH NO!! She had to be independent enough to marry the first slimeball she sees!! It's like Crawfordism. The heroine has two choices...a handsome charming man (Henry....disregarding the rumor of course) and a sickly cousin. In MP the heroine goes with the sickly cousin....but Isabelle choose a plan C....a choice worse than them both. I am THEE Queen of Happy Endings, and I have chucked a few hideous books out the door in my time. Save yourself the arm strength and skip "The Way Of All Flesh"...that's even worse. Trust me...you'll feel better if you just give it a good heave and say one of the following...
1.This book sucks!
2.What a terrible ending!
3. Stupid...Stupid Isabelle!
4.What a waste of time
Or get creative! :-)
I am glad to say that the shock soon wears off and you will just silently loathe the book.
