] All through these first chapters, I wonder how Jane can even survive with no love nor affection. Could a real person in such a situation have been able to grow up to be a whole person?
I agree!
but what about the touch of human kindness that she does not get during most of her infancy.
Perhaps, it is this situation that helps her adapt and remain humane.
Psychologists often argue that human environment(negative) contributes towards inhumane characters. While I respect this opinion, I also believe that experience of such adversity affords the 'human' a rare chance to go beyond this and experience the opposite........................
