The Phantom of the Opera

I know this has nothing to do with Jane Austen, and even though it was written during the same time period, it was across the French Channel, but . . .
I really love this book. Its the only Gothic novel I have read over and over again. Its just so sad and touching, sort of an old-fashioned more romantic view of Beauty and the Beast.
Seeing the Opera is one thing I am looking very much forward to.
Just wanted to know if anyone else enjoyed Gaston Leourex as much as well,
