Just picture the Teenage Mutant Ninja Bertrams! Would you Bertramites really want to support a marriage that would lead to the birth of Quasimodo Bertrams? Not to mention the fact that their lives would just be boring, dull, dull and boring! There is no romantic love between Fanny and Edmund, and once they realized this and thought to themselves, "Ick!", it would be disasterous.
