True Crawfordism is derived from the belief that Fanny and Henry would not be superficially in love. They would be deeply, passionately, and entirely in love with one another.

You do not marry your cousin when you have been raised like brother and sister.

You do not fall in love and then have an affair with Maria.
And I don't believe that Henry's love was shallow. It was such a spontaneous emotion; he never planned it, and he didn't know how to react at first. He was most ardently attached to Fanny.

PAI!!!
