So, are you saying that JA would have rewritten a book that she had already had published? Or, that she would have written a sequel to this book?

MP was published in JA's lifetime, so I really think we should assume that she wrote it the way she wanted it. As to her intentions about Henry Crawford, I believe that she tried to make him realistic -- charming, intelligent, and with the potential to be a hero.
