Yes, I agree that they love each other, but not in the way of romance! There is no spark, no passion, no chemistry between the two. They were raised as brother and sister.

I don't think JA was drunk, and I certainly don't think she was wrong in her development of any other characters. I am not a Wickam fan, and you don't see me saying Wiloughby was set up. I actually think JA would have changed the ending to Mp in time. You must agree that it seems as if she had started out to make Henry into a Wickam-ish villian, but ended up liking him too much.

Henry is reformed!
Fanny loves Henry!
Henry loves Fanny!

Maybe that is the way the book ends, but who's to say what happens afterwards? Enter Nora...
