] I think this is a likely explanation. When I bought Emma1 it had 1980-something on it and it took me quite a long time to work out that it had been made earlier. Finally Emma's delightful blue crimpeline gown convinced me that it had to be ten years older at least and I found out from this board that it was 1972.
That's very interesting. My copy of Emma1 has a date of 1972 on it -- I double checked after I read Robyn's post. There seem to be various dates for the videos, regardless of the original filming/airing dates.
