] If another version exists, none of us know about it. And it's not in the Imdb OR my comprehensive movie guide, either. It may be a completely different story with the same title, like the 1932 "Emma," which has nothing to do with Austen.

Or it might suffer from the same problem as P&P1, which we have never been able to pin down a precice date for. P&P1's dates range from 1979-85. Perhaps the Beeb put out all of the Austen tapes at the same time in '85, even though they were made earlier.
