Sorry if you've already covered this topic, but I was wondering what people's thoughts were on Frank Churchill's intentions when he visited Emma just before leaving to see his Aunt. I tried to decide whether he was about to tell Emma about his engagement to Jane Fairfax, of whether he was going to spin a yarn about his love for Emma. I watched both Emma2 and Emma3 at this scene, and the scenes are portrayed so differently that I am more confused than before! Emma2 tends towards his telling Emma about Jane, while Emma3's cunning Frank seems to be about to spin a yarn!
HELP!!!
