YES YES!!!!! EXACTLY! My thought s are the exact same of yours, Cassandra! If the reader manages to pick up all the subtle little hints throughout the novel, then, really, their finally coming together is inevitable, and even if, due to their own personalities, they some how manage to keep their own personal feelings from each other, they will find a way to eventually be with each other. The perfect match! I, too, love Mr Knightley's "I love to look at her." It is indeed a very 'telling' line from him, and through Jane Austen's descriptions of his behaviour towards Frank Churchill, and Emma's 'denial' of jealously, their future together is perfectly painted in every line!
But, I'll stop babbling now! Basically, I agree entirely with you, Cass!
