Yes, Laraine. Smart guy indeed! Always has interesting insights on the character he plays!

I doubt Mr. Knightley would not have had at least some experience, as brief as it might have been. Difficult to resist curiosity and hormonal urges, during the teenage years, for example.

But, IMHO, his duty and the well-being of the people around him took over very rapidly and were for a long time his main prirority, up to the moment that he realizes his love for Emma. He hadn't found the right person to be with, so he turned his interests to other matters. So, in a way, he might have been a "born-again" virgin... If I dare say it in these shocking words!! ;-)
