Ok, this is not meant to be the least bit -- vulgar -- but it occured to me that a man of eight and thirty surely would be no stranger to the ways of "love." Am I correct in this assumption? It may seem like an odd comment, but I was thinking about it whlie reading some fan ficiton -- the men in all these stories, Edward, Mr. Knightley, Frank Churchill, etc... they were certainly not virgins! As I am no historian, I am wondering then if they frequented places of ill repute or did they deflower ladies not quite as "ladylike" as Emma, Jane, etc? What is your opinion?
(I realize that these are fictional characters! :o) I am not delusional, just in the case that they were "real" 19th Century gentlemen, what would be the case?)
