] I thought to be simply a fun summer movie. But after reading the review equating to Emma, it spurred me to read the novel. Since then, I have read almost all of them.

] Beautifully put Lynn -- that is how I feel about "Clueless" and "Emma2" -- Austen fans will always find fault with them, but they encouraged many individuals (young and old) to pick up a JA novel and see for themselves ...

amazing and gratifying to think that clueless motivated people to read ja. i think "adults" get a laugh AS WELL AS a lesson from emma, and younger people get THE SAME from clueless, which is about the highest compliment i can give that flick, and probably more than it deserves.
