Some people really liked it. For others, it was a nerve-grater. Was its fluffiness meritous, because it didn't presume to more than it was? Or, did it degrade the deeper lessons of the novel (does the novel HAVE any heavy lessons?)? Or (yeah, another one), was it too loose an allusion to satisfy?
