] Blame Miramax. The same idiots who didn't want Northam were probably the same ones who okayed the trailer.
] And my least favorite scene: Emma3 -MS: "I held you in my arms when you were this old..." Or MS: "HE WENT TO LONDON TO CUT HIS HAIR"-outburst in front of Emma and Mr. Woodhouse. Mr. Knightley would never have acted so viciously-he is too much of a gentleman.

I don't think MS was acting viciously. I just watched it last night, and I have come to the conclusion that his voice is so deep that practically any emotion that he shows comes out darker than intended. I think he was supposed to show shock, mostly, with a little anger because of FC's supposed coxcomb-ness (I say supposed, because he really went for the piano).
