] Yes, Greg, this is what I meant. And as much as I drool over JN I did think he was too good to be true. But JAalso makes -- oops, ias it Colonel Brandon-- the older suitor in S&S less than ideal-sounding, and in that case I thought AR was not charming enough. Ratyer hangdog, he seemed. Objective view is required, again!

He was not supposed to be charming--he was sober and somber, thinking about his poor lost love Eliza, and mourning the chain of events that made him lose her. I thought AR played the role of the unrequited lover very well. So well, in fact, that I don't even want to watch any of his "bad-guy" movies. :-)
