] I happened to see part of the tv series Clueless on Friday evening (assume it was a repeat). Is Paul Rudd in that series as well? It didn't appear that he had the same part as in the movie, but then again I've never watched more than a couple of minutes of the series, so I don't really know!

A different actor plays the part of Josh. Just as a different actress plays the part of Cher. You were seeing a special episode in which Paul Rudd played a different character "Sonny" (get it? Sonny and Cher?).
The series in addition to having some of the original cast members from the film clueless, from time to time features guest appearances from some of the other original actors only playing different parts.
